Je pratique la photographie depuis près de 20 ans et, pendant ces années, j'ai touché à presque tous les domaines. Il reste que la photographie de voyage et l'humour sont mes deux sujets de prédilection. Grâce à la photo numérique, notamment à Photoshop, mon intérêt pour la photographie s'est ranimé.

Bien que j'ai toujours été membre d'un club de photo depuis que je pratique cette activité, c'est surtout la photographie du National Geographic et la photographie publicitaire qui m'ont influencé et m'ont inspiré.

Je vois la photographie comme une activité créatrice. Contrairement à la plupart des photographes amateurs qui ont une approche passive à la photo (l'art de voir), je m'intéresse au contenu de l'image et au potentiel de la photo comme outil de communication.

J'ai remporté quelques prix régionaux, nationaux et internationaux en photographie, mais mon plus grand exploit est d'avoir remporté le premier prix au concours annuel du magazine américain Popular Photography (la photo gagnante se trouve quelque part sur ce site et je vous met au défi de la trouver!).

Je possède une grande collection de photos (surtout des diapos)et elle contient quelques bijoux. Je vais faire de mon mieux pour afficher des photos à toutes les semaines. Je vous invite donc à venir jeter un coup d'oeil de temps à autre et à me donner vos impressions. Mon objectif est d'afficher 1 000 photos sur ce site. Il me reste donc du chemin à faire.

I have been shooting for close to 20 years now and I have touched just about every field of photography. However, travel and humour are my two favorite subjects. Thanks to digital photography, and in particular Photoshop, my interest for photography, which had declined, has now been renewed.

Although I have always been a member of a photo club, I list the National Geographic magazine and advertisement photography as having influenced and inspired me the most.

I see photography as a creative activity. Whereas most amateur photographers have a passive approach (the art of seeing), I am interested in the content of the image and the potential of photography as a communication tool.

I have won a number of regional, national and international prizes in photography, but my biggest accomplishment is winning the Grand prize in Popular Photography magazine's annual photo contest (my winning pic is somewhere on this site and I leave it to you to guess which one it is).

My collection of pics, (mostly colour slides), might contain some hidden treasures. I will try to post as many of them as I can on a weekly basis. Therefore, check this page from time to time to see what is new and please give me your impressions. I aim to post about 1,000 pics, so I still have some way to go.

In the unlikely event that you would like to BUY one of my pictures, please check with me first before ordering because the size of most pics posted here is quite small.
